The scholarship is a training program developed to equip graduates living in or indigenes of the Niger Delta for employment opportunities in the renewables sector Energy Talent Company will train successful candidates in the competencies they need to start a career in the renewable energy sector.

This is an online and offline solar energy training. It is open to graduates living in, or indigenes of Abia, Akwa-Ibom, Bayelsa, Cross River, Delta, Edo, Imo, Ondo and Rivers States.

Speaking about the training program, Mr. Ugochukwu Chukwujiaka, the Founder and CEO of Energy Talent Co, said, “We are excited to partner with All On to deliver this program because renewable energy is the future, and we are committed to building the future today. The training will, undoubtedly, increase the pool of talent in our country’s renewable energy sector.”

All On Policy and Partnerships Manager, Adaobi Oniwinde said, “We are particularly thrilled about this partnership because successful candidates don’t just receive world-class training. More importantly, the program identifies brilliant youths in the Niger Delta and helps to provide them with much-needed employment.”

Successful candidates will complete the Careers and Skills Course, the Foundational Course, Foundational Assessment, and then go on to take a two-month-long training. This immersive program will equip them with the competencies needed to start careers in the solar energy sector.

Applicants must be:

  •  living in or indigenes of the Niger Delta (Abia, Akwa-Ibom, Bayelsa, Cross River, Delta, Edo, Imo, Ondo and Rivers States)
  • between ages 18 to 30
  • university graduates with a STEM background or a strong interest in support services in the renewable energy sector
  • holders of a discharge certificate from the compulsory National Youth Service Corps or those who will get their discharge certificate before November 2021
  • committed to building a career in the renewable energy sector
